One thing Apple glossed over during its big iOS 6 unveiling was the redesigned App Store.

We've been testing out the beta version of iOS 6 this week, so we decided to take the new and improved App Store for a spin.

The icon may look the same, but the magic is inside. Tap to open!

Here's the new Featured tab. It's full of apps Apple picked out. The top banner is a nice touch. Swipe across the banner...

...and you'll see the next featured app. Scroll down for even more featured apps.

Now "What's Hot" and "New" sections appear on one page.

To download an app, tap the "Free" or the price next to an app. Let's install the free version of Angry Birds.

...and enter your Apple ID.

Now apps download and install without closing the App Store. You're free to continue browsing while you wait for your app to download.

The Updates tab lets you know when one of your existing apps has a new version.

When your app is finished downloading, tap "Open" to launch it.

The purchased tab shows you apps you've already bought. You can re-download them from this menu.
