In life, there are many things to be thankful of, and I am quite sure that when you take a look at the above picture, you too, would thank your lucky stars that Apple went ahead and slimmed down the Original iPad prototype a whole lot to what you see and got with the first generation iPad. In fact, the actual iPad prototype did resemble a far larger and fatter size compared to the mockup, and it is absolutely, positively Jupiter-sized according to those who have taken a gander at the original prototype. I guess it makes sense, as a prototype needed to see the software work just fine before the rest of the hardware is refined.

Known as the Prototype 035 iPad, it does seem to share a whole lot more physical DNA with the old white MacBook compared to all the other iPads that have hit the market to date. After all, you cannot deny that it looks plasticky, comes in the signature Apple white color, and is really thick and bulky – we are talking about an inch thick thereabouts. I am glad that Apple has taken the effort to beautify the prototype to what it is today.
