The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. An Apple employee turned out to be extremely helpful over at an Apple Store in Oxmoor Mall last Saturday night. A woman was kidnapped by a man who identified himself as “Greg”. The 32-year-old man, whose real name was Victor A. Sarver, Jr. contacted the victim for a date.

Sarver reportedly showed up at the victim’s house and threatened her by pulling out his gun and pointing it to her leg. The man then forced the victim into her vehicle and demanded her to drive to stores to purchase cellphones using her own money. Eventually, they made it to an Apple Store in Oxmoor Mall.

Thankfully, the woman was able to steal some time during the kidnapping to discreetly report the incident to an Apple Store employee, who immediately contacted the Louisville Metro Police. When the authorities arrived, Sarver was apprehended and the woman was finally saved, thanks to her courage and the fast response of the Apple Store employee. The police said that the employee called the store security, who then alerted the  Louisville Metro Police. As for “Greg”, he is charged with robbery and kidnapping.
