App Advice noted that the iPhone WordPress UI includes a hidden side menu, accessible through a button in the top left corner of the screen, like the Facebook app. The iPad version looks more like Twitter for iPad.

The updates also includes an improved sign-up screen and a new app icon, as well as a new WordPress.com Friend Finder features that helps discover your friends who are also blogging through the site. Landscape-orientation is now available throughout the entire app, and WordPress has made it easier to access your own blog and dashboard inside of the app.

Specific to the iPad app, WordPress.com Reader and Quick Photo have been added, as well as a new simple post preview feature.

The free iOS app is currently available for download on Apple's App Store, compatible with iOS 4.0 or later.
