Good for Enterprise gets facelift, new features

By

Good Technology has updated its Good for Enterprise apps for iOS and Android.

Good for Enterprise is designed to provide enterprise-class collaboration facilities on mobile devices while maintaining high levels of security.

The latest version of the apps for iOS and Android feature a more contemporary user interface, with improved navigation between the various functions.

Photo sharing is now supported via the Good secure container, eliminating concerns about using public services such as Dropbox and keeping separate business and personal photos.

Tasks and to-dos synchronise with Outlook or Notes, and again Good for Enterprise keeps business and personal items apart.

Calendar attachments can be viewed from calendar invitations, making it easier to read meeting agendas and other materials.

The apps also simplify the task of joining conference calls, as a single tap can dial the number and enter the conference code.

Other enhancements include email classification, support for Domino encrypted mail, the ability to allow import from (but not export to) third-party document editing apps, and support for app whitelisting and blacklisting.

"With today's always-on work environment, employees need mobile business apps designed to make getting work done easier," said Jim Watson, vice president and corporate general manager at Good Technology APAC.

"With this release of Good for Enterprise, our customers can now offer their employees an elegant, powerful, and secure collaboration app that supports the way employees want to work using the devices they prefer."
