EA Sports Brings FIFA 13 To The App Store With Online Multiplayer

FIFA 13 promises
FIFA 13 promises "groundbreaking visuals" and the most responsive control system yet.

As a massive soccer fan, I love EA Sports’s FIFA Soccer series. So imagine my delight when I opened up the App Store this morning to find FIFA 13 staring back at me. This is the FIFA game I’ve been waiting for for iOS. Why? Because it’s the first to boast online multiplayer, allowing you to play against your friends over the Internet.

In addition to online multiplayer, FIFA 13 boasts “groundbreaking graphics” that promise to be more realistic than ever, and the most responsive controls it has ever delivered on iOS. The new Skill Move button lets you perform your favorite tricks using simple swipe gestures.

FIFA 13 features 30 leagues, 500 licensed teams, and more than 15,000 players from the English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and more. There are Quick Match, Manager, and Tournament game modes, and 32 authentic stadiums — home to some of the biggest teams.

Unlike previous FIFA releases (and previous EA releases!), FIFA 13 is a universal game, which means you pay $6.99 once to play on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. And what’s great is that the game uses iCloud sync to transfer your save files between your devices, so you can begin a tournament on your iPhone, then continue playing on your iPad.

FIFA 13 supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad, iPad 2, the new iPad, and the third- and fourth-generation iPod touches. The only bad thing about this game is that it doesn’t yet support the iPhone 5’s larger display. But it’s still incredible, so go buy it!
