Today is the one-year anniversary of of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and to mark the date Apple has replaced its normal website of his life as well as a message from CEO Tim Cook. In the last year many friends and associates of Jobs have come forward to share anecdotes about the man, but one important person has remained mostly out of the spotlight, until now.

Chrisann Brennan, Jobs's high school girlfriend and the mother of his first child, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, has reportedly signed a contract with St. Martin's Press to write a tell-all book about her relationship with the technology icon. Brennan's relationship with Jobs was profiled in the by Walter Isaacson published last year. Not only is Brennan quoted frequently in the book, but she also penned an essay about their relationship for Rolling Stone just after his death. But until now we've only read snippets of what her personal connection to Jobs was like.

According to the New York Times, the book will track the relationship from their meeting at Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, to the subsequent birth of their daughter, Lisa. Jobs initially denied paternity of the child, and in the early years Chrisann struggled to raise the child on welfare. But Jobs eventually came around and invited Lisa to move in with him and his wife Laurene Powell.

In addition to the personal struggles shared between Brennan and Jobs, the book will also delve into the nature of Jobs's early vision and approach to life. St. Martin's said the book will offer insight into "Jobs's enormous appeal, energy and drive as well as his developing ambition and ruthlessness in business and personal dealings."

Brennan currently lives in the Bay Area, working as an artist, while Lisa Brennan-Jobs is said to be working in New York City as a writer. No release date or title for the book have been announced.
