This week Autodesk announced that the Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, a cloud-based collaboration tool for AEC professionals, is now available for the Apple iPad (iOS) through the iTunes App Store. 360 Glue provides all the project players with anywhere/anytime access to complex virtual construction models.

Autodesk is reporting that customers of Autodesk BIM 360 Glue have already reaped the benefits of clash detection and project management and have become vocal that they want such functionality in the field.

Users of Autodesk BIM 360 Glue can access BIM models on the iPad and navigate them using the multi-touch gesture interface on the iPad to spin around within the model. Alternatively, they can utilize saved views (external and internal) and visit different areas of the building swiftly in that manner.
