Tip of the Week: Posting Photos Quickly to Facebook in iOS 6

Want to post pictures from e-mail messages directly to your Facebook page? If you have iOS 6 — and the official Facebook app installed and configured on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch — you can post with a tap. (To install and set up the Facebook app, tap the Settings icon on the Home screen and select Facebook from the Settings menu.)

Now, when you have a photo attached to an open Mail message you have received, hold the cursor on the image until a menu box pops up. Tap the Facebook icon to post a copy of the photo (and a caption) to your timeline.

Other options in the same menu box let you attach a copy of the image to a new Mail message, post the picture to a Twitter account, assign it to a contact file or save it to the Photos app. You can also print it or copy it for pasting elsewhere. When you have a picture open in the iOS 6 Photos app, the Action Menu in the top right corner offers similar options.
