Apple iPad 4 leaks begin

The iPad Mini hasn’t even had a chance at the limelight and already a Lightning port for the iPad 4 is trying to upstage it

An iPad 4 dock connector has leaked just as the world prepares for the Apple iPad Mini event on Tuesday.

The picture, obtained by BGR, shows what is apparently a 4th generation iPad Lightning dock connector component. No, it’s not wildly exciting, but to see that Apple could be working on its fourth full-size iPad before it’s even got its first iPad Mini out of the gate shows the Californian computer giant has no plans to slow down its release schedule.

We’ve pre-ground a pile of salt to sprinkle on the rumours surrounding the iPad Mini launch, but this little nugget could point to Apple’s first major release of 2013.
