Announced in conjunction with Digital Guardian [DG] 6.1, the iOS mobile app advances the leadership of DG as the first information protection platform to extend data monitoring and usage control to iOS devices. By monitoring and controlling all channels through which sensitive data travels from the enterprise to these devices, the Digital Guardian platform and iOS Mobile App together offer a complete enterprise information protection solution that extends to iPhones and iPads.

The Digital Guardian iOS Mobile App is deployed from the corporate app-store and extends Digital Guardian data access and control policies onto the iOS device. Sensitive business information, identified and encrypted by the Digital Guardian platform, can only be accessed on mobile devices once user/device combinations are registered, and where the user meets Digital Guardian access and usage policies. Digital Guardian forensic logging of data events is also extended out to the iOS device.

All data events from the enterprise to and on the mobile device are forensically recorded. Digital Guardian iOS Mobile App will be generally available with the DG 6.1 platform, on Nov 30.
