There it is, the only external difference between the fourth-generation iPad and the third: a Lightning connector instead of the old 30-pin jack. Apart from that the big changes are all internal, with that new A6X CPU, a 720p FaceTime HD camera, and additional LTE carrier support and faster Wi-Fi. If you've got a third-gen iPad you're probably not going to be tempted here, but it's clear Apple's intent on getting all of its production on its newest core technology stack as quickly as possible.
