Review: The Man App – THE Personal Assistant for Any Man That’s in a Relationship

You’re married, have a fiance, or a girlfriend, and like any man you only have one small problem, remembering the little things… Like her birthday, your wedding anniversary, the date of the day you met, the color of her eyes… Run, do not walk to the App Store and buy The Man App. This app from developer Sticky Pixels just might keep you from sleeping on the couch tonight!

Overview

If there’s one thing that’s important in a relationship, it’s remembering things that your spouse or significant other think are important. Anniversaries, her birthday, the color of her eyes, these are all things women will grade your relationship on. (Yes, there will be a test, and it will go on for the rest of your life.)

The Man App takes the worry out of remembering important things about her, and your relationship with her. Want to remember her birthday? Enter it in this app, and it will remind you in time to get a great gift, (it will even suggest gifts to give her). The Man App will also remind you about important holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s Day. (Don’t shake your head, you know you’ve forgotten both of these at one time or the other.) It will even keep track of a countdown until the next important event in the list.

You can enter important info about your lady, things like her eye color, dress size, shoe size, even her bra size. (This will keep you from telling a salesperson “she’s about this big!” while you hold your hands out in front of your chest.) How about her Mother’s and Father’s first names? Good bits of knowledge to have. Then you can access this info whenever the need arises.

The app will suggest gift ideas, and gestures that will warm her heart. It will even suggest “Random Acts of Kindness” every so often. This is when you buy her a gift “for no other reason than I love you, honey.”

If by chance you forgot to enter an important date, or were dumb enough to ignore the reminders that popped up, the app also includes an “In the Dog House” list of suggestions on how to redeem yourself.

This app has a clean, easy to use interface, has peppy background music (that can be turned off), and will probably save your ass more times than you’ll be able to count.

Verdict

This is an app that should be on every man’s iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. At $0.99 it’s a steal.

The simple interface and easy to use reminder system is a breeze to use for even the most technologically or romantically challenged male. There is noting I don’t like about this app. It’s fun to use, the graphics are clean, and the interface is logically laid out. Oh, and it even knows that the traditional anniversary gift for 10 years is tin. If you keep this app in your arsenal, you may even have a chance at making it to your tenth anniversary.

Pros:

  • Clean interface, easy to use.
  • The reminder system is a breeze, and the Random Acts of Kindness is a great feature.
  • The gift suggestions are useful and inventive.

Cons:

  • It’s a shame the app doesn’t use the entire screen on the iPhone 5.
