Apple Blunders iPad Thickness Information

This article is more than 10 years old.

We all know that Apple has a desire -- perhaps bordering on obsession -- to make devices as thin as possible. But a website blunder makes the iPad seem far thinner than it actually is.

Here's the mistake, as pointed out by the heaving throngs over on Reddit:

No, the iPad isn't 0.37 mm thick -- that's far thinner than the 1.5 mm of a penny. It's actually 0.37-inches, or 9.7 mm, which is thin, but nowhere near as thin as the blunder makes it out to be.

It's unusual for Apple to make such an elementary mistake. I'm assuming that it will have been correctedby the time you read this.
