2012-Era iPhone 5 Bike Mount With 1980s-Era Style

If you have been trawling the internet for an iPhone 5 bike mount which looks like it was beamed forward in time from the 1980s, then stop! Your search is over. Better still, the case even has a numeral-heavy 1980s-style name: The M550.

The case sure is boxy and would be right at home in Back To The Future (if BTTF had featured bikes instead of skateboards and DeLoreans), but it looks to be a lot better than the super-crappy bracket I bought from Amazon a couple weeks back (and which I’m still scared to actually use).

The M550 has a hard, shock and weather-resistant shell with a bump-absorbing silicone inner, can be rotated 360˚ for map and app use, and even has a camera-hole for action movie shooting as you ride. Peel away the bottom flap and you get access to headphone and Lightning ports (great for hooking up to a solar panel), and the screen cover still lets you use the iPhone underneath.

Since getting an iPhone I’m less and less convinced that I need to put it on my handlebars, but I’m tempted to buy this $50 mount for its looks alone. It even has a period-authentic gray and red colorway.
