Kindle Fire Family Now Available at GameStop

GameStop is expanding its product lineup for the holiday shopping season, today announcing the addition of the Kindle Fire family.

The video game retailer has already branched out into mobile electronics, selling refurbished iOS products and various Android tablets, which now includes three Amazon devices.

The is now available for $199.99 at all 4,400 U.S. GameStop stores, while the ($299.99) and the original ($159.99) are for sale in select stores. Look online to find participating stores.

"Gaming is one of the most popular activities on Kindle Fire," Mike McKenna, vice president of Amazon Kindle, said in a statement. "So we're excited that GameStop is offering the new Kindle Fire family to its customers."

This summer, Amazon pushed into the social gaming world with the , a developer program that encourages game makers to create interactive experiences for the Kindle Fire.

"Android tablets are topping many holiday lists, so it's the perfect time to add Kindle Fire to GameStop's mobile electronics selection," Joe Gorman, GameStop's vice president of mobile, said in a statement. "And with customers able to trade old video games, devices and more toward the purchase of new products, including Kindle Fire, we're making it easier than ever for customers to get the holiday gifts they want."

Additionally, GameStop customers will receive a $25 Amazon.com gift card with the purchase of a new Kindle Fire through Jan. 31. Those looking to upgrade their Kindle Fire can trade in an original device for an upgrade and up to $100 of in-store credit.

This week, Amazon , tailored to kids. Available for use on the new Kindle Fire and the Fire HD, the all-you-can-eat content service provides unlimited access to games, among other things, for $2.99 to $9.99, based on usage and whether or not users have an Amazon Prime account.
