eBay Updates Its iOS Apps To Make It Easier To Sell From Your iPhone & iPad

eBay has issued updates to its iOS apps this week to introduce a number of features that promise to make selling from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch a much more pleasant process. When listing a new item, the  apps will now help you choose a category for your item — just like the website does — and they’ll help you select the right shipping charges. What’s more, you can now start listings on your iOS devices and finish them off on your desktop — or vice versa.

eBay isn’t a universal app on iOS, so you have to download one version for your iPhone, and another for your iPad. Both have been updated with new features that make selling easier, however.

You’ll find a new selling flow that offers category, pricing, and shipping guidance; improved photo uploading with more editing tools; the ability to save multiple listing drafts; and the option to start listings on iOS devices and finish them on the web.

eBay for iPad also allows you to “supersize” the photographs you upload to your listings, and offers better support for selling tickets, and vehicle parts and accessory items.

There are also some improvements for buyers, including a speedier checkout process, and search enhancements. eBay for iPad also offers orange starts on the home screen that now show you whether there are new items to see in your saved searches, while items with 1-day handling and fee post & packing appear as “eBay FAST & FREE.”

The latest version of eBay for iPhone and eBay for iPad can be downloaded from the App Store now.
