Eurocom Uno 3.0

PC manufacturer Eurocom is now shipping its new Uno 3.0 all-in-one PC. With a 21.5-inch multi-touch display, TPM 1.2 security, and integrated battery pack, this desktop is fully optimized for enterprise computing, according to Eurocom.

The Uno 3.0 is mainly designed for corporate use. At 16.5 pounds, the PC is fairly easy to move around when traveling short distances. The all-in-one's compact design (21.08 x 1.96 x 14.8 inches) takes up less desk space, giving the user more room.

Eurocom touted the eco-friendly features on the Uno 3.0, which runs at 120 watts, helping to reduce energy costs. The 6-cell internal battery pack provides back-up power in case of electrical failures and allows for easy relocation without the hassle of shutting down. The 21.5-inch display has multi-touch functionality, for use with Windows 8.

The integrated Trusted Platform Module 1.2 ensures that stored information like keys, passwords, and digital certificates are protected from software attacks and physical theft.

The Uno 3.0 has a highly upgradable design and can be customized to either meet corporate requirements or individual computing needs. It can be modified based on the processor, hard drive, memory, display, graphics or optical drive. Equipped with an Intel HM61 chipset, it supports Intel 3rd-generation Intel Core i7 and i5 processors. Depending on the CPU used, it can also be equipped with either the Intel HD Graphics HD4000 or HD2500.

The desktop is equipped with a Vesa mount, so it can be mounted on tables, walls, desks, medical carts, and more.

Eurocom also included an array of ports with the Uno 3.0. It sports four USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4a out, Audio in and out, and a RJ 45 LAN port. The system also comes equipped with two RS-232 serial and two PS/2 connectors. The RS-232 ports allow the desktop to turn into a point of sale system and the PS/2 connectors allow for compatibility with legacy hardware. An ExpressCard 54 built in the unit also allows for secondary devices to be connected.

The base model for the Uno 3.0 is priced at $917 and can be purchased directly from the manufacturer.
