This one made the uber-geek rounds a few years ago and is resurfacing again — and for good reason: it's cool! Plus, as Brendan Gregg says in this video, disk latency is a serious issue. That's something we can all agree with, especially now that we've had a few years of experience with relatively low-latency SSD drives. But Brendan makes a good point: no matter how frustrated you get at your disks for being slow, don't shout at them. It's not going to help!
