Stealth iPhoneographers, your iPhone case has arrived. The Mirrorcase lets you snap pics and video with your phone facing the ground, which makes for a very discreet way to Instagram that weirdo on the bus without him noticing.

The case, which is a bit portly, uses an adjustable mirror mounted in the "shelf" at the top of the case to reflect what you're seeing into the camera's lens. The shelf also doubles as a handy grip when you're holding your iPhone one-handed, or as a stand when it's lying on a flat surface.

The case pairs with one of two apps -- one for free, the other for $1 -- in the App Store that correctly positions the reflected image on your screen and in your camera roll. The app also has a customizable "Privacy Screen" that's a simple swipe away so that nosy girl in the seat next to you can't see what you're shooting.

Mirrorcase for iPhone 4/4S recently hit the market for $50. An iPad version is coming soon, to be followed by one for the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 model tucks the mirror into a the case when not in use. Simply flick it out and give it a twist and you're ready to go.

Mirrorcase CEO John Palmeri told Wired that he expects the iPad version to be popular with students. The iPad version of the app will let you bookmark points in video and add notes, so if you're recording a lecture you can easily note important parts of the lesson. And since the iPad would be laying angled slightly upward on your desk, it's also less obvious, and less annoying, than if you're holding a 9.7-inch tablet in front of your face and recording video.
