We’ve seen dozens of kinds of styli released over the last few years for the iPad, in order to make drawing and painting easier onscreen. While none have been quite perfect, the new Adonit Jot Touch might just be one of the best attempts so far, utilizing some features not seen before in other stylus options.

Unlike other pens designed for the iPad, the Jot Touch takes a different approach. One of the key problems with the iPad’s screen has been the tendency to cause spurious input while resting your hand on the screen, leading to unintended brush strokes and flaws in your drawing.

To combat this, the Jot Touch uses palm rejection techology to make sure that unintended input is ignored. Of course, the stylus also works over Bluetooth 4.0 and includes pressure sensitivity, to make your drawings seem more realistic. That, in addition to the fine tip and quick access buttons on the side, make it a great stylus.

If you’re looking to pick one up, you can pre order the Jot Touch for $89.99 on Adonit’s website.
