Apple has released two updates for OS X: Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.04; and Airport Utility 6.2. These are available either via the Mac App Store, or the Software Update pages.

Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.04

This is aimed at users of Mountain Lion and needs certain versions of Aperture or iPhoto to be already available on the computer. The following cameras have now been added to those already supported by OS X:

  • Leica D-Lux 6
  • Leica V-Lux 4
  • Leica X2
  • Nikon D5200
  • Pentax K-5 II
  • Pentax K-5 IIs
  • Pentax K-30
  • Pentax Q
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1

A list of all cameras now supported is available on the Apple Knowledge Base Document HT5371.

Airport Utility 6.2 for Mac

The Wi-Fi system used by Apple, known as Airport, operates to the IEEE 802.11n standard and includes AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule (for Time Machine backups over Wi-Fi). The update of the Airport Utility to version 6.2 provides a number of bug fixes and other improvements. The Knowledge Base Document DL1628, that discusses the latest update, includes the information that these include:

  • The ability to extend the Guest Wi-Fi network on a network that is configured with multiple AirPort Base Stations
  • The ability to add a WPS-capable Wi-Fi printer
  • Improved international support
