Zite 2.1 Adds Various Improvements, Discards Creepy Staring Owl Icon

Just a couple of months after its last major update, here comes a new major update to the universal personalized magazine app Zite.
I say "just" because it's a considerably short time between updates compared with the gap between Zite's last update and the one before that.
Zite's last update came in early December last year, nearly ten months after the preceding update. But it was apparently worth the wait, since it upgraded Zite to version 2.0 with its set of significant improvements. These improvements included a new "Explore" page, an expanded "Your Top Stories," and an increase of the app's supported categories from 2,500 to over 40,000.
These time, Zite's new update, which brings the app to version 2.1, also delivers quite a few improvements. These include a number of new features, which are enumerated below by the team behind the popular app:
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Zite 2.1 is available now in the App Store for free. In addition to the aforementioned new features, various tweaks and bug fixes are brought by the new update. I have to say, though, that my favorite improvement is Zite's new app icon. Gone is the creepy staring owl icon that was introduced in Zite 2.0. In its stead is the simple typographic icon carried by Zite 2.1. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
