Apple to make iWork apps free with purchase of new devices
Apple has announced it is making its top mobile productivity apps available free to users who purchase new iOS devices.
The Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto and iMovie apps will be available to customers who buy the latest versions of Apple’s mobile devices.
Currently, Pages, Numbers and Keynote are available for download for $9.99 while iPhoto and iMovie cost $4.99.
Apple’s move to offer its productivity apps free to new users may come as a response to Google, which offers its suite of productivity apps at no cost on the Web and on smartphones through the Google Drive app.
