iPhone 6: 'available in gold, silver and grey'

Pictures of what is believed to be the iPhone 6's SIM card trays have been posted online, suggesting the model will be available in gold, silver and grey.

The images, uploaded by Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor of French Apple fansite nowhereelse.fr, depict three trays in the three shades currently featured on the iPhone 5s.

Alongside the SIM trays, what appear to be iPhone home buttons, speakers and vibrate motors have also been photographed.

The internal speaker appears to be larger than the component used in previous iPhones, according to 9to5Mac.

Earlier this week the site ran images of what Mr Hemmerstoffer claimed was promotional artwork for the new flagship model, complete with the date September 9.

The Californian company is widely expected to unveil the next iPhone on this date, alongside the much-rumoured iWatch, according to new reports.

Mr Hemmerstoffer alleged the artwork had been passed onto him by his “most trusted and loyal Chinese sources,” who had provided a very similar piece of artwork to him “just hours before the launch conference of the iPhone 5s”.
