New iOS jailbreaks just seem to come faster and faster these days. 9to5Mac brings us word that there is already a new jailbreak for iOS 8.1, although you won’t be able to download it just yet.

RELATED: So, what’s the deal with the iOS 8 jailbreak anyway?

This jailbreak comes to us courtesy of the Pangu team in China, whom we last saw this past summer developing a jailbreak that was compatible with iOS 7.1.1 and iOS 7.1.2. 9to5Mac reports that Pangu put a download link for the developers edition of the jailbreak up on the web before quickly removing it. Despite this, it seems that Pangu is on track to release the final version of the jailbreak soon, which will be welcome news for iPhone users who don’t like being restricted by Apple’s walled garden.

The developers version of the jailbreak didn’t come with the Cydia app store loaded on, which would make it mostly useless for the average user who likes jailbreaking their phones to install unauthorized tweaks. Nonetheless, 9to5Mac says Cydia support is coming soon and once it’s ready to go, we can expect to see Pangu’s final release follow shortly after.
