Universal Pictures is eyeing Kate Winslet to play the lead female role in Aaron Sorkin’s movie on Steve Jobs, reports Variety.

It’s still unknown what character the Titanic star might play, but after a couple of other Oscar-nominated actresses have dropped out of the project, Winslet’s addition could be the extra jolt needed for the movie that’s expected to feature Jobs’ daughter Lisa as the heroine.

Michael Fassbender has been tapped to play Steve Jobs while Seth Rogen is still slated to play Woz. Casting for supporting roles has filled out this week with Michael Stuhlbarg slated to play Andy Hertzfeld, an early Apple employee on the original Macintosh team.

Danny Boyle will direct the film that was originally developed by Sony Pictures, but was dropped by the studio a few weeks before the North Korean hack attack that pillaged the company’s private data. Universal Pictures picked up the film after Sony dropped it, and they’ve been quick to fill out casting over the last few weeks.

Other casting rumors have included Jeff Daniels playing former Apple CEO John Sculley, but nothing official has been announced. Filming is expected to start in Spring 2015, with the movie coming out just in time to catch some Oscar buzz at the end of 2015.
