In response to Lizard Squad launching attacks on the Tor network, Anonymous has leaked the personal details of one of the group's supposed members.

After ending the attacks on PSN and Xbox live following a bribe from Kim Dotcom, Lizard Squad said in a tweet that "All your onions are belong to us," referring to Tor's onion logo. It later said the Tor network is only used by "hackers, miscreants and pedophiles."

Tor released a statement on the attacks, saying "we don't expect any anonymity or performance effects based on what we've seen so far." It said the attackers attempted a "Sybil attack" where "the attackers have signed up many new relays in hopes of becoming a large fraction of the network."

Even though the attackers are "running thousands of new relays," Tor said the relays involved "currently make up less than 1% of the Tor network by capacity," and it is "working now to remove these relays from the network before they become a threat."

The hacking group, Anonymous‏ demanded in a tweet that Lizard Squad stand down, saying "People need that service because of corrupt governments." Later, the group said it's time to "tame these Lizards" and then confirmed the group was tracking down members of Lizard Squad.

Although not confirming the details are legit, Anonymous‏ tweeted a link which appears to contain the personal details of one of the members behind Lizard Squad, including their full name, address, phone numbers, passwords and other details. The practice is known as "doxxing".

Anonymous‏ posted a screenshot which appears to show a conversation between one of its members and one of the members behind Lizard Squad, in which they ask the Anonymous‏' member to stop the attacks and for their family to be left alone, but Anonymous‏ said in a tweet the group will not stop.

Update: A supposed member of Lizard Squad has claimed in a tweet that the conversation between a member from Anonymous‏ and a member from Lizard Squad was faked by members of the group.
