SAN FRANCISCO & BARCELONA, Spain--()--(Launch Festival & Mobile World Congress) Fotobom today announced the immediate availability of its new photo-editing platform on the iOS App Store. Fotobom provides fun and easy-to-use tools, such as the ability to automatically crop yourself, your friends, or anything out of images.

Users can then have fun with the resulting cutouts by putting them onto new backgrounds, creating memes, adding text, and using Fotobom’s set of tools for endless creativity. One of the coolest features of Fotobom is the ability to instantly create custom emojis and stickers that you can send to your friends through iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.

Users can quickly pull their favorite pictures into the app from social media or by searching with Google Images. They then create a “Fotobom” and can share it to their favorite social networks such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and SnapChat. Fotobom also allows anyone to easily discover and use content made by the rest of the Fotobom community — the first community of user generated content of its kind.

Photo sharing remains one of the largest markets for mobile with over a billion pictures shared worldwide each day. However, photo editing has long been limited to web-based applications that are cumbersome and expensive to use. Mobile tools have been limited to simple features such as filters, which have been wildly popular. Fotobom takes the next step by providing the average person with a way to do simplified photoshopping right on their phone.

Fotobom provides only the most useful photo editing tools such as automatic background removal (cropping), layering, erasing, resizing, rotating, and filtering. In a matter of seconds, Fotobom allows anyone to modify or crop an image and then add the cutout to any picture. For example, you can cut your friend out of a picture that you pull from Facebook, insert them into Ellen DeGeneres’ famous selfie at the Oscars, and then post your creation to Instagram. Or you can simply send your friend’s face as an emoji in an instant message. Fotobom provides an opportunity for unlimited creativity with photos, all from a smartphone.

Company founder and CEO Andrew LaForge explains, “We created Fotobom with the idea of developing a mobile platform where people can easily create fun content from pictures they pull from social media and then share their creations with all their friends, wherever and however they want. Our vision is that Fotobom will become a community of user generated content that can be shared across and seen in all messaging platforms.”

LaForge continues, “In our testing, Fotobom appealed to a broad demographic. Everyone likes to be creative with pictures, especially when you provide simple tools and make it easy for them to share. Fotobom also provides brands with the ability to interact with their fans in a subtle yet fun way. Think of a sports team being able to interact with its fans attending a game by allowing them to put themselves in a photo with their favorite players, or a movie company promoting a film by giving Fotobom users cutouts to put into their pictures. The possibilities for a brand’s mobile marketing campaign are endless.”
