Fanless PC has AMD quad-core processor

TinyGreenPC has introduced a smaller version of its fanless PC, which now has an AMD Quad Core processor.

Incorporating the quad-core AMD A4 Micro-6700T, the TinyGreenPC fitlet features up to 8Gbyte of memory, Radeon R3 graphics, up to 6Gbyte of solid state STA storage and up to 4Gbit Ethernet LAN ports.

The central feature of fitlet is its FACET interface (Function and Connectivity T-card). This interface provides 3PCIe lanes, USB and LPC bus on a standard mini-PCIe connector.

Users can add any off-the-shelf card, but most will want to install purpose built FACET cards incorporating multiple interfaces and connectors.

Electrical and mechanical specifications for FACET are in the public domain, allowing third parties to design their own extensions to fitlet.

It’s actually an A10, although TinyGreenPC have also listed it somewhere as an A4 so that’s a common mistake, I’m not sure what STA storage is, but I’ve managed to put in a Samsung Evo 250GB Msata SSD without problems in this, and other interesting features is it supports 3G/4G it has a sim slot on the motherboard, of course you need to replace the wifi card with a modem, but that’s not a problem, and imo makes this ideal for a nice little server or advanced pfsense router.

Really the amount of features they’ve managed to cram into this tiny box is quite insane, my only issue is the cooling isn’t great on it, and that has an impact on the performance as it’s a Tablet APU that clocks after temp, using a fan and some fiddling I managed to get nearly the double in CPU benchmarks(Cinebench) compared to it’s passive state.
