Microsoft will officially release its new operating system on July 29th.

The latest operating system – which blends the user interface across desktop computers, laptops, phones and tablets – will be released in 190 countries this month.

However – a new blog post from the Redmond software giant seems to suggest the operating system roll-out will be slower than previously expected.

Windows 10 will slowly roll-out across the world in waves. And it appears Windows Insiders beta testers will be the first to be given the opportunity to update their operating systems.

The Windows Blog post explains: "Starting on July 29, we will start rolling out Windows 10 to our Windows Insiders.

"From there, we will start notifying reserved systems in waves, slowly scaling up after July 29th.

"Each day of the roll-out, we will listen, learn and update the experience for all Windows 10 users."

If you are desperate to get your hands on the latest release from Microsoft, it is still possible to join the Windows Insiders program.

It appears Windows Insiders will be the first to get the update.

Everyone else will have to wait form a notification from Microsoft to let them know their copy is ready.

Microsoft started slowly rolling out a Windows 10 reservation system last month, which prompted users to reserve their operating system upgrade.

The Redmond company has not confirmed whether the reservation roll-out will be first-come-first-served.

Microsoft has been forced to issue a number of clarifications over its latest operating system.
