This is the same fast track build offered via Windows Update

Earlier today, Microsoft released Windows 10 build 10162 for users enrolled in the fast track of the Windows Insider program, and now the company has decided to ship the official ISOs too, thus allowing everyone to perform a clean install.

Keep in mind, though, that this is the same release as the one available via Windows Update, so bugs and issues might still be there.

Usually, Microsoft releases new ISOs once a build is stable enough to be shipped to slow ring users, but this time, the company says that it wanted to push them out a little bit earlier for everyone to “enjoy their weekends.”

The new build will be offered to slow ring users early next week, and these ISOs will be updated, while no new ones will be released.

The download link at the end of the article lets you get either the 64-bit or the 32-bit version of Windows 10 in any of the supported languages, so make sure you choose the correct one.

What's new in build 10162

If you're very keen on installing build 10162 and hope to get new features, you might be disappointed. This particular version is specifically developed to bring fixes and performance improvements, especially because we're getting closer to the official launch of Windows 10 on July 29.

Microsoft says this is the most reliable and most stable Windows 10 build so far, and there's no doubt that all those running a preview build of the new operating system should get this one too in order to receive the latest improvements the company has been working on.

Right now, it's not yet clear whether Microsoft plans to release other Windows 10 builds before July 29, but given the fact that the company is working at full speed on improving performance, new versions are very likely.
