Microsoft goes over the Windows 10 experience in new video

There's only a day left till the release of Windows 10 and Microsoft is doing everything it can to pump up excitement for its most recognizable product. The latest video from the company goes over the 'Windows 10 Experience', with the Operating Systems Groups Mohammed Samji going over all that Windows 10 is bringing to the users.

He goes over the familiar but fresh Start Menu, retaining the look and feel of Windows 7 - and jump lists - and merging that with the live tiles first introduced in Windows 8. The UI has also been improved in a similar manner: optimised for the keyboard and mouse from the Windows 7 years and the touch input that modern 2-in-1's enable.

The taskbar has also seen a few minor modifications. The clock has been updated with a modern design, along with other options in the system tray, such as the volume controls and the network settings. The improved system tray also features the all-new Action Centre, a place where all your notifications are aggregated and easily accessible - along with many of the basic settings.

The video ends with an overview of all the improvements in productivity. Task View will allow you to view all the things you're working on from a top view. You can snap then these different windows to different sides of the desktop, allowing you to work on multiple things at the same time.
