Microsoft this morning confirmed two new flagship Windows 10 devices, the 5.2 inch Lumia 950 and 5.7 inch Lumia 950 XL — aiming to drum up new interest in its phones in the face of an uphill climb against Apple, Google, Samsung and others.

Using the Windows 10 Continuum feature and universal apps, with a special docking setup, the phone can serve as a desktop PC replacement, running in conjunction with keyboard, mouse and monitor. Microsoft demonstrated the capability on stage this morning.

The devices, unveiled at a Microsoft press event in New York City, feature 20 megapixel cameras and run Windows Hello, the company’s biometric login feature. That means it will allow users to unlock their phones with their faces.

The new phones, which had been widely rumored in advance of the event, will be available in November. The Lumia 950 starts at $549, and the Lumia 950 XL starts at $649.
