Keep your iPhone handy with the Hansnap

A new Kickstarter project is looking to rightfully turn the selfie stick on its head, or more specifically the hand. Called Hansnap, the device can basically turn any object – including your hand – into a stabilizer for better videos and photography.

Here’s a demo that better shows how the device works. Click here if you can’t see it.

And in other situations, you can use a Hansnap to keep your phone safely accessible at all times.

Right now, for a $30 pledge, you can reserver a Hansnap along with a case that will fit either the iPhone 6s/6 or iPhone 6s/6 Plus. For $15 more you can reserve a kit that comes with a removable wide-angle lens. A similar fisheye lens kit is $55.

Along with your hand, the Hansap can stabilize your phone in other situations as well.

There is also a version of the Hansnap designed to use with GoPro cameras and even tablets like the iPad.

All rewards are estimated to ship in January. And with three days to go, the project has garnered a bit more than its original $10,000 goal.

The Hansnap definitely sounds like a great idea, especially if you’re looking to turn an iPhone into a true action camera. Adding the fisheye and wide-angle lens into the mix should really be great for photographers looking for that perfect, stable shot.
