EVGA has rolled out two new BIOS packages targeted at its Intel X99 chipset-based motherboards, namely versions 2.01 and 2.02, which implement support as well as improve compatibility for the DBW-E CPU models.

To be clear, the producer has provided BIOS 2.02 for its X99 Classified motherboard and the 2.01 update suitable for the X99 FTW, FTW-K, Micro, and Micro 2 models.

In addition to that, besides the aforementioned improvement, EVGA’s X99 FTW-K unit will also benefit from better memory compatibility, as well as several fixes for small issues.

If you intend to upgrade your BIOS, first, download and unzip the appropriate archive and close all programs and processes that might interfere with the installation. Afterwards, locate and run the “Update.bat” file, press “Y” to initiate the flash process, and wait for it to complete.

Bear in mind that you mustn’t turn off or reboot your computer during the installation, as this will cause the upgrade to fail and render your device unusable.

In case the flash box closes immediately, copy the archive content onto a USB drive, reboot your computer and enter system BIOS, go to “Select BIOS File,” choose the .bin file, and also wait.

That being said, download the specific package for your device model using the links below, carefully apply the update by taking into account all the aforementioned steps, and enjoy your newly improved motherboard.
