Are app developers losing interest in the Apple Watch?
App developers are building less and less applications for the Apple Watch, according to reports on Monday.
The VP of Realm, a mobile app database, says for every one new Apple Watch app, there are more than 1,000 iOS apps being built.
Growth in tvOS apps for the Apple TV platform are also outpacing the Apple Watch, Tim Anglade told Business Insider.
“tvOS is a brand new platform so there’s a gold rush for it,” he said.
“On a weekly basis we’re seeing very few Watch apps, compared to iOS apps.

Anglade believes interest in the watchOS platform will only return when Apple enables Watch apps to run without iPhone connectivity.
Ongoing rumours have pointed to an Apple Watch 2 featuring built in GPS that would allow watch owners to work out without keeping a Bluetooth connected smartphone on them.
The Realm VP says developers want access to sensors and longer battery life.
