IBM is now receiving applications from Brazilian start-ups for its SmartCamp entrepreneurship program.

The Brazilian phase of the event, which aims to develop start-ups and the local entrepreneurship ecosystem, will take place between November 23 and 24 in São Paulo.

At the competition, start-ups will take part in activities to help them develop their business idea and improve skills to make a pitch. In addition, entrepreneurs will get access to mentoring, investors, partners, and industry influencers.

Following the online pre-selection, the winning Brazilian start-ups will have the opportunity to participate in the Launch Festival, one of the world's largest entrepreneurship events held in Silicon Valley, where the IBM Global SmartCamp final will take place.

Last year, collaborative logistics developer Gadle and automotive management start-up Nexer were selected to participate in the global event.

To apply, start-ups must have a minimum viable product, be less than five years old, and have less than $1 million in revenue. Applications can be made until August 9 through the event's website.
