Apple Watch-3-Up-PRINTIt is expected that Apple will announce a new Apple Watch in the next few months, which is why it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that stock on the current Apple Watch is running low, as noted by the folks at 9to5Mac, which is pretty common when a company is planning on introducing a newer and better product.

According to their report, it has been noted that pretty much all of the Apple Watch Sport models are sold out. Some of the stainless steel band models are sold out too, or if they are available, you’d have to wait 4-6 weeks for them to arrive. The Hermes band models are also completely sold out.

It is entirely possible that Apple could just be running into some production hiccups which is why stock isn’t replenishing as fast as it should, but given the rumors of the Apple Watch 2, that would be highly coincidental. In addition to the Apple Watch 2, we have also heard rumors that Apple could be refreshing the first-gen watches, although we can’t be sure to what extent.

In any case there’s no telling when the new watches will be announced. We expect Apple to announce the new iPhones next month, so it is possible we could learn more then. Alternatively there is also another rumored event later in the year for the MacBook Pro/iPad, so maybe it could be unveiled then as well, so you’ll just have to wait and see.
