The future arrived on the iPhone 7 and the no-earphone-jack thing is still sticking in your craw. Maybe you should just take a breath and float. Float your phone, that is.

Your new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus can float in midair on magnetic waves while it charges with the Air Charge, a charging device available via Kickstarter that further steps into a future without wires.

Entrepreneur Sheffield Nolan, who started the mobile rewards platform AppRedeem, is behind Air Charge, a levitating iPhone charger that uses induction to float your iPhone 6 or 7 over its charging bases.

It works with any iPhone with a Lightning port and whichever case you use. The phone plugs into a connector and charging puck that quietly hovers over a circular base. To see the magic, the promotional video on Kickstarter is fun to watch.

It comes in white or black and is currently available for $79 for Kickstarter early bird backers. If Nolan’s Gryker Inc. hits its fundraising goal and production goes glitch-free, the Air Charge will ship by February.

The levitating iPhone charger will eventually retail for $199.
