While a little profanity never hurt anyone, the autocorrect czars over at Apple have made it maddeningly difficult to swear on the iPhone.

Some of us have just turned autocorrect off entirely, but Guardian columnist Steven Thrasher has found another way to trick your phone into memorizing swears: just make the word a contact.

Apple’s iOS adds any contact name to its dictionary, so theoretically this would work with any word you don’t want autocorrect to butcher.

If you don’t want to clog your contacts with curse words, you can accomplish the same task by going into your Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement, and then adding words to that list.
