AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Crimson Edition graphics driver, namely the 16.10.1 WHQL build, which implements support for Oculus’ Asynchronous Spacewarp (ASW) feature on some Radeon RX 400 series cards.

This new feature detects the motion between previously rendered frames and extrapolates the position of scene components to create a new synthetic frame that accurately approximates the fully-rendered frames to be replaced.

Besides this addition, the present update maintains support for Gears of War 4 and Mafia III titles, includes a Shadow Warrior 2 CrossFire profile for DirectX 11, and implements all other changes added by the previous AMD Radeon Crimson Graphics Driver 16.10.1 Hotfix.

In terms of compatibility, version 16.10.1 WHQL is suitable for both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, make sure that your system configuration includes one of the supported GPU models listed on the description page.

As for installation, simply save and run the appropriate package valid for your OS and bit architecture, wait for all files required to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

That said, download AMD Radeon Crimson Graphics Driver 16.10.1, apply it on your computer, make sure to perform a reboot upon completion, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
