There are no traditional ports. Instead, there are new ports called Thunderbolt 3.

Thunderbolt 3 is used for everything: charging, connecting accessories, and video output to external displays. It also works with the new USB-C standard that's starting to show up in more gadgets.

There's also a traditional headphone jack.

Apple decided to temporarily slash prices on USB-C accessories to help ease the transition to the new standard.

But the real story here is the Touch Bar. It's a touchscreen at the top of the keyboard that replaces traditional function keys with digital keys.

Here's the standard view for function keys. You can customize the keys on the left side of the screen.

You can expand the buttons on the right side of the Touch Bar to bring up the standard function keys like brightness and volume controls.
