Hewlett Packard Enterprise is rolling out new features to its hybrid IT lineup for small and midsized businesses, which includes the StoreEasy Storage, ProLiant Easy Connect and HPE Flex products.

On the storage side, HPE is adding new configurations with the Microsoft Windows Storage Server, the latest Intel Xeon processors, and high-speed memory to the entire StoreEasy portfolio.

HPE is also adding integrated cloud backup to Microsoft Azure and expansion to its ProLiant Easy Connect hybrid cloud platform. The aim here is to make it easier for SMBs to operate with a mix of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.

Additionally, HPE said it enhanced data reduction functionality to help companies consolidate workloads and maximize capacity. The HPE StoreEasy 1650 can now support 10TB drive bundles to scale up to 280TB of internal capacity. The StoreEasy portfolio was also treated with enhanced encryption performance to protect against man-in-the-middle attacks on large files.

As for HPE's Flex products, the company has refreshed its Flex portfolio for the Microsoft SQL Server.

On the server side, HPE is expanding its ProLiant Easy Connect portfolio, which offers SMBs integrated compute, storage, and networking, together with virtualization and cloud management software.

The server lineup now includes the HPE ProLiant Easy Connect ML110 Managed Hybrid Server, which supports up to 150 users per site and offers businesses more control over how they manage cloud-based and on-premises applications.
