Rejoice, people who hate Apple and anything with their logo on it!

Google has announced its own music festival, and it sounds GOOD with a capital G (and two Os and a D).

That's because the festival is actually called GOODFest, and it's happening in just a few days' time – Tuesday November 29, to be precise.

Don't worry if that's a bit short notice and you can't get tickets – everything is going to be streamed live because it's Google, why wouldn't it?

Here's a very colourful, if very vague, video to tell you a (very) little bit more:

Google describes the 'first of its kind' shows as "a celebration of progress, positivity, and the power of people to push the world forward.

"In five live streamed shows, we're bringing together music, community, and technology to raise funds and connect with fans across the world."

The first show will take place in New York City on November 29, continuing in New Orleans on December 9, Seattle on December 12 and in San Francisco and Los Angeles on dates yet to be announced.

Confirmed acts include Glass Animals, Shilpa Ray, Gogol Bordello, Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and D.R.A.M.

Okay so it's not as star-studded as the Apple Music Festival but ain't nothing wrong with a bit of positivity. Lord knows we need some in 2016.
