There’s a new way for Apple device users to say goodbye to the cable company. AT&T has just unveiled its new DirecTV Now live TV streaming service. It will officially launch on Wednesday, Nov. 30 and be available on the Apple TV, iOS devices, a Mac, and many other outlets.

Starting at $35 per month

The different packages are taken from DirecTV’s traditional satellite TV service. Here are the available plans.

  • Live a Little – $35 / month (60+ channels)
  • Just Right – $50 / month (80+ channels)
  • Go Big – $60 / month (100+ channels)
  • Gotta Have it – $70 / month (120+ channels)

HBO and Cinemax fans can add those channels to their service for an additional $5 each per month.

To celebrate the launch, for a limited time, the Go Big package will be $35 per month. Subscribers will be able to keep that rate as long as they continue with the service.

If you’re still in the market for a new Apple TV, you can prepay for three months of service and receive the set-top box for free, more than likely the 32GB model that retails for $149.

AT&T mobile customers can also access the DirecTV Now service without it counting against their existing data limits.

Anyone interested in checking it out can sign up for a free, seven-day trial. And make sure to keep it here at AppAdvice as we will offer our first take after the launch and let you know how it compares to two other services available on the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad – PlayStation Vue and Sling TV.
