Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Set On MWC 2017? New Tablet To Be Costly Featuring Quad HD AMOLED Screen, Kaby Lake Chipset & Upgraded Rechargeable Stylus?
Kirsten KaneLately, there were speculations surrounding the net that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be launched together with the Surface Phone and Surface Book 2 on February next year.
Moreover, some reports suggests that the much awaited device will come out during the Mobile World Congress 2017 which will be held in Barcelona, Spain.
Rumors are rife that the highly anticipated device could have released in time for holiday season but it seems like the company is waiting for the brand new 7th-generation Kaby Lake processor to be available. The famous chipset is said to improve the battery life of the Surface Pro 5 which has been strongly criticized on the Surface Pro 4.
Aside from the Kaby Lake processor, Techradar reported that the device will sport a more improved rechargeable stylus.
"Another interesting patent filed by Microsoft describes a renewed Surface Pen loop, designed to both latch the Surface Pen onto your Surface devices via a USB connection. Not only would it hold the Surface Pen into position when needed, but it would simultaneously charge the accessory for prolonged continuous use."
In addition, the Surface Pro 5 is likely to have a 4k screen (3860 x 2560 pixel resolution) or a larger screen than its predecessor and might also pack an upgraded Type Cover.
Furthermore, it has been said that the upcoming tablet will carry a better battery with at least 7 hours battery life that will surely make the users enjoy.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will surely be packed with very powerful specs and features. Some reports claim that it will house a Quad HD AMOLED screen and sport a USB Type C port but will keep the USB 3.0 port, microSD card slot as well as 3.5mm audio jack port.
In terms of its price, the source reported that the device is likely to "start at $899 (£749, AU$1,349) and escalate from there depending on spec configurations and bundled accessories." Rumors are rife that its going to be expensive.
Microsoft is yet to give its statement regarding the details and the release date of Surface Pro 5.
