Apple Releases macOS 10.12.4 Beta 2

macOS 10.12.4 beta 2 has finally been released after Apple seeded beta 2 of iOS 10.3, watchOS 10.2 and tvOS 10.2 yesterday to developers and testers registered on the company’s Developer Program portal.

One of the key ingredients within macOS 10.12.4 from a global user perspective is the introduction of Night Shift, which makes its way across to the Mac after being received so positively on iPhone and iPad.

This introduction allows users to manually, or automatically – depending on the time of day – shift the color of their Mac’s display to the warmer end of the spectrum in order to take the strain off the eyes and promote a more balanced evening and sleep experience.

Additionally, macOS 10.12.4 also brings with it a very handy mechanism that allows developers to respond to App Store reviews via the Mac App Store. With this update, developers will have the ability to instantly respond to feedback on the Mac App Store, both negative and positive, with Apple finally giving them a voice to answer the queries of their customers and users who are interacting with their apps on a daily basis.

Rather than integrating any new features, beta 2 is very much about improving on those initial introductions and streamlining the implementation.

For now, anyone with a previous beta installed on their Mac can grab the macOS 10.12.4 beta 2 update right now from under the Updates tab on the Mac App Store.

Those new to beta seeds will have to get started by heading to either developer.apple.com (Apple Developer Program) or beta.apple.com (Apple Beta Software Program).

Currently, beta 2 seed of macOS 10.12.4 is available to developers only. We will of course update you whenever it hits the public beta channel. Stay tuned.

UPDATE x1: macOS 10.12.4 beta 2 is now available to publish beta testers.
