Apple’s British design guru Sir Jonathan Ive has invested in a London fashion start-up that makes high-end iPhone cases favoured by the likes of Beyoncé and Victoria Beckham.

Charlotte Stockdale, 46, and Katie Lyall, 32, who have styled shows for Victoria’s Secret and Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi through their consultancy, Chaos, have launched a new “tech-cessory” spinout. Among its products are $230 (£180) deerskin leather iPhone cases and personalised luggage tags that sell for as much as $186.

It is understood that Ive, 50, is one of their biggest financial backers. Stockdale’s father is Sir Thomas Stockdale, second baronet of Hoddington. She is married to designer Marc Newson, who worked with Ive on the development of the Apple Watch. Lyall grew up in London’s East
