DELL'S latest line of consumer products, including systems from its Inspiron, Alienware, and XPS series, was on display at the recent Dell Consumer Tech Week event held at Plaza Low Yat in Kuala Lumpur.
Present at the event were Dell Malaysia & Singapore’s Consumer Business country manager Jarebb Chua, and Dell Malaysia’s Client Solutions Group field marketing manager Christopher Choong.
The showcase of the event was the new Dell XPS 13 2-in-1, touted as the smallest 13in 2-in-1 device with InfinityEdge.
This convertible device is the latest in Dell’s XPS portfolio, alongside the non-convertible XPS 13, and the XPS 15.
The XPS 13 2-in-1 is smaller than the average 2-in-1 device with a 13in screen, because it has a very thin bezel. In fact, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is roughly the size of a laptop with an 11in screen.
It made its official debut at the annual Las Vegas’ Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, and was made available to the Malaysian market in early March.
The convertible device comes in three configurations.
At RM6,699, the new XPS 13 2-in-1 comes with a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor, 8GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM, and 256GB of PCIe SSD storage.
For RM7,799, the processor is upgraded to a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-7Y75 processor and the storage bumped up to 512GB.
The highest configuration has a price tag of RM7,999. Here, the SDRAM is upgraded to 16GB.
All three configurations come with IntelHD Graphics, a 13.3in QHD InfinityEdge Touch display and one-year Dell Premium Support with Accidental Damage Protection.
From now till April 30, purchase any of the XPS laptops featured – the XPS 13 2-in-1, XPS 13, and XPS 15 – and get a DA200 Dell USB-Type C Adapter worth RM319 free.
Purchasers will also stand a chance to win the new Dell S2718D Infinity Edge Monitor worth RM2,999.
